The most revealing headphone I have ever owned. Every detail is rendered with precision I did not know existed in the recording. String textures, room resonance, breath before a phrase — all of it is there. Replaced a pair of reference monitors I had used for twelve years.
Worth every dollar. The lambskin ear cushions are the softest I have encountered on any headphone at any price. The build quality is extraordinary — this will outlast me. Four-hour sessions are comfortable. There is no listening fatigue I can attribute to the transducer.
I have owned headphones from three of the recognized reference makers. The soundstage width and depth on this unit exceeds all of them. Instruments have addresses, not just positions. Imaging is stable even on complex orchestral passages where other headphones collapse to a blurry center mass.
