Noticeable improvement in noise floor and imaging. Transparent — does not add or remove anything from the signal chain. I measured the difference using a reference recording I know by ear: the noise floor dropped by approximately 3 dB and stereo image width opened noticeably. That is a meaningful improvement from a cable replacement.
The build quality is exceptional — these will last decades. The solder joints are clean under a loupe, the sleeve material has no stretch or creasing after heavy handling, and the XLR connectors click with a precision that most consumer cables do not approach. I purchased three lengths after receiving the first.
I run a 4-meter cable in my setup and signal degradation over length was a concern. The dual-shielding on this cable effectively eliminates RF and 60-cycle hum pickup over the full run. I have used it adjacent to power transformers and switching supplies without a single artifact introduced. The 6N OFC conductor lives up to its specification.
Six months of regular connection and disconnection and the gold plating on the XLR connectors has not oxidized or worn. Most cables at this price develop tarnishing at the contact points within a year. The machined collar makes seating and releasing clean — no wobble at the connection point.
The cable itself is flawless — exactly what I wanted at this price. The canvas drawstring pouch feels slightly underspecified relative to the product. A formed case or a labeled sleeve would better communicate the quality tier. That is a minor note. The cable is worth the price regardless.
I have replaced interconnect cables every few years across four systems over the last decade. After one session with this cable I ordered a second as a backup. The OFC conductor produces a silence between notes that I had previously attributed to my amplifier. It was the cable all along.
